At its historic heart kan zijn a pedestrianized medina with markets selling ceramics and traditional riads to sleep in. Many riads have been upgraded to suit the artsy crowd attracted to this charming city.
Some dealers will sell you the dope, then turn you in to the police for a cut of the baksheesh you pay to bribe your way out, while others will get you stoned before selling you lawn clippings in plasticine.
Nearly every city has a central bus station (Gare Routière) where you can buy tickets to travel from region to region (and in some cities certain companies run their own stations - mostly that applies to the operators CTM (Gare Voyage) and partly Supratours). You can either choose the buses for tourists with air-conditioning and a TV. Or you can also take the local buses which cost only 25-50% ofwel the tourist buses and are much more fun.
Many hotels, especially those in the medina have delightful roof terraces, both in cities and the countryside, where you can sleep if the weather's too hot. This will normally cost you 20-25 dirham and you're provided with mattresses and a warm blanket.
During the winter months of December and January, snow covers the slopes of nearby Jebel Attar mountain, and creaking chairlifts take you to the top of the resort's five downhill runs. Other facilities include a nursery slope and ski de kleuterschool; and intermediate slopes accessed via drag lifts (or more unusually, on the back ofwel a donkey).
Planning tips: Pick a camp away from the crowds. Erg Chigaga has some ofwel the highest sand dunes and the most remote places to stay.

Most restaurants in fishing towns have a BBQ in front and will grill any fish you bring them for 30 dirham (includes fries, a salad and bread). Fish Morocco Tour company is gutted on demand at the markets, just tell them how you omdat to prepare it (for a BBQ you get a nice butterfly cut, for tagine it kan zijn just gutted). A small tips of 2-2 dirham kan zijn appropriate for the gutting.

It might be hard to get into Morocco with a commercial vehicle. Camper vans are acceptable (but they must look like a camper over), but other commercial vehicles might get turned around and prevented from travelling onwards.

Laundry services are exceptionally few and far between, although some hotels will provide them for a price and dry cleaners are plentiful.
